Smart Building in Action

In last few years we have seen the demand grow for greater comfort in residential buildings. This has not been restricted to just the latest designs of furniture or the quality of kitchens and bathrooms. The demand has also been for installation of modern, intelligent electrical devices along with systems to manage lighting, electronically-controlled shutters and Venetian blinds, for climate control and the security of the home or property either centrally, locally or remotely via the internet or mobile devices.

Our aim is not to create a house that thinks for you but rather a home that is intuative to the needs of you and your family. One that gives you control at your fingertips for a more comfortable and energy efficient living environment.

Major savings are to be found in the efficient control of energy for heating. Regulating the temperature can give as much as a 30% saving in fuel and can be implemented on a room by room basis. For example, you may want to keep the temperature in a hall, landing or utility room cooler than your main living space.

The system is also able to automatically switch off appliances that are not being used and to switch them on again when you need them.

It is not uncommon for a home automation system to be installed and you realise you need to extend the installation. This is not a problem with the INELS system as the units are connected to a communication bus where you can change the final configuration and functions. Mode changes or additional units can be accomodated, always making you master of your own home.

Control of lighting via Infrared motion detetors, PC, dimmers, buttons and timers used to be considered a luxury but with the much lower costs of installing these devices thay are becoming more standard in residential housing.

The INELS system doesn't only offer light management for energy saving and security, it also allows for the creation of 'lighting scenes' to suit your moods. Maybe dimming down the main lights, turning on wall lights and lighting the pool or garden. This can all be pre-set along with control of heating and other electrical appliances to reflect the users behavior and mood and can also react to changes in weather or time of day.

Protecting your property and knowing what is happening with your house is easy. INELS is designed to use all available or additional elements of the system and inform you about potential dangers by either sending text messages using a GSM gateway or by connecting to the Internet.

Along with fire and burgalar alarms the system can simulate your presence while you are away by randomly turning on and off lights, opening and closing shutters and controlling other devices such as stereo systems etc.

The system can also be configured for you to have a secure log on to remotely control the building or to view what is happening via cctv.
